HoneyGain, An app that pays for your unused internet traffic ( Review 2020)

Introduction to HoneyGain

HoneyGain caught my attention when I was randomly surfing the internet and found it on some random page. HoneyGain claims to pay you for using your internet and looks like the easiest way to earn some money.

I had my concerns about whether it’s a legitimate thing or just a scam like most other ’Earn money online’ scams’. I did some research on the internet, and the reviews were good, so I installed it on my PC and have been using it for the last few days.

So for the last few hours, it has been working and it shows how much data it has used and how much money is it worth it?

I will keep updating this article with time and will update how much I could make in a month’s time.

What is HoneyGain?

HoneyGain The app facilitates proxy services to third parties, such as data scientists, Fortune 500, and other trustworthy companies.

Honeygain ensures that all your personal data is safe at all times. 

Your internet traffic is used by trusted partners only, and the app itself does not gain access to your device’s storage and HoneyGain pays the user for it used data.

Is HoneyGain app safe?

HoneyGain has mentioned in its FAQ section that they do not keep any of the user’s data other than IP Address, Email, and selected payment methods.

When I first heard about HoneyGain it seemed a too good deal as you just need to install the app and it pays you for your data.

So as everyone has data security concerns so did I have my concerns about my data being used wrongly. So I read a lot about it on Reddit, Quora, and other forums, and whatever I read, indicated that the app is legit and there is nothing to worry about.

I have used it for the last few months and have not faced any such issue with it.

HoneyGain was launched in 2019 and since then a lot of Hackers and Engineers have been trying to find if there is something wrong with the app. But it seems that its a legitimate app and it has nothing much to hide.

So you can be sure that there are no security concerns with the app and give it a try.

How does HoneyGain work?

Using HoneyGain is very simple and there is nothing much complex to set it up. Lets dive in with steps:

1. Firstly you need to need to install the app. So you can check the HoneyGain installer as per your device on the HoneyGain Download page. Choose downloadable files as per your device and install it in your device. Currently, it is available for Windows/Android/Mac OS, So if you are on a Linux system, it would not be possible to use HoneyGain.

2. When you install HoneyGain on your device, it will take you to a webpage for signup, Create your user account,  and log in to your HoneyGain app with created credentials.
   
   
3. Make sure that the device is connected to the Internet.
   
   
4.  HoneyGain handles everything else, and your work is almost done here. You just need to make sure that your device is connected all the time.

Remember, HoneyGain pays you for data that it is using from your device. So to increase your earning connect more devices to HoneyGain.

Currently, it supports 2 devices at an IP so you can connect 2 devices on the same network.

If you want to add more devices, you can connect them on HoneyGain with Mobile data(If you have extra data on your mobile data).

Everything else is already handled by HoneyGain and you don’t need to worry much. Just keep checking your dashboard 

How much you can earn from HoneyGain and How does HoneyGain pay you?

Your earnings are calculated by the number of devices the app is installed on and how much-unused data is used by the HoneyGain.

You will earn 1 credit for 10MB of traffic that goes through you. So for 10GB, you’ll earn 1USD.

If when you installed HoneyGain and you chose to use your device for Content delivery, you will get 6 credits for every hour your device is used for it.

HoneyGain website has ‘Estimate your earnings’ tool on its home page which gives you a fair idea of how much you can earn.

If you are connected 24 hours a day on your network and HoneyGain is working for the whole time, you can earn 50$ in a month’s time.

This money is not at all bad if you have sufficient data, and all you need to do is install an app and let it work in the background.

Also if your friends in HoneyGain with your referral code. They get $5 in a HoneyGain account and you will get 10% of their earnings!

Is HoneyGain legit?

I have been using HoneyGain for some time and there is one thing that I am very sure about Honeygain. That it is a legitimate company and will pay you for sharing your data. 

You can check online reviews or do a google search about HoneyGain but it does not seem like a scan to me.

It has been reviewed by many users, and most agree that it pays.

Though I agree that amount is not that much as someone would be looking for if all we need to get is to install an app and let it run in the background, it’s a good deal

 

Conclusion

If you are looking for some extra cash and you have additional data which you were anyhow now going to use, you can give HoneyGain a try. You can earn 50$ a month, and although that’s not a significant amount, it can still pay for your broadband connection(if you are in a country where I am from, India). There is nothing bad with free money. right? 🙂
